And as far as the original layout tour went, not only did the tour go home with a lot of nifty ideas, but with a real appreciation for his wifes baking. The cookies were fantastic! Nestled into the end of Jims elaborate switching yards are the engine facilities and roundhouse. The turntable is manually operated from a remote crank with the smoothest movement I have ever encountered in a home-built mechanism.
