Meet Joe Sc henkel
Joe Schenkel is the retired VP of a company that specialized in the sale and installation of feedwater heaters and water purification equipment to industrial manufacturers. He and his wife Joan live on Long Island, and at 71, this cigar-chomping modeler sees no end to the number of projects awaiting him either through his model railroading, ship, tank, plane or scale automobile construction projects.

Trains are operated in the Earl Smallshaw tradition. Limited to short freights, even curves as tight as 24 radius can be comfortably viewed.

The passenger station at Coatesville provides a handy area for Joe to highlight his Jordan vehicles. Foreground t rees are constructed with natu ral armatures that are covered with Woodland Scenics foliage.
