    Prototype Modeler, long a name synonymous with authenticity, has loaned its expertise to the design of a series of prototype craftsman type model railroad kits for the discriminating modeler who i s interested in rolling stock that is a replica of an original car or car series rather than an approximation of a general type of car. The Pacific Fruit Express car of the R-30-13 Class pictured above is the first car in this series.

    The PFE R-30-13 was carefully designed by Nelson McCormick, and produced by Marketing East; Inc., as a replica of this specific prototype car series. Meticulous attention to the smallest detail has made this kit one that even the most particular and authentic modeler can be proud to have on his roster. The finest wood from Camino, door hardware from Grandt Line, Westinghouse KC Brake Gear from Cal-Scale, and R-30-13 series, is available direct from Marketing East, from Wm. K. Walthers Inc., or from your local hobby shop. This kit will decals from Micro-Scale all combine to assure the fi nest in materials and the finest in authenticity.

    This car, the first in the craftsman kit Prototype Modeler Class soon be followed by others designed by the country's leading prototype modelers and to the exacting standards of the experts in the Prototype Modeler organization.

    The PFE R-30-13 is kit No. 1001 and is available at $7.95 each, less trucks and couplers. Kadee 5 couplers and "T" Section Bettendorf trucks are available for $2.50 per set when ordered at the same time as the kit.
