Paul Coats's Album: Drop-in Bridge

Final bit of my layout, a drop-in bridge across the doorway. This will allow working trains from both directions, a staging area, and other operational advantages. The drop-in not only extends the main, but extends the siding for set-outs from the intermodal yard to 9 single well cars. Prevously the short siding only allowed 2 single wells, or one 3-unit well car.

Paul Coats Neal, I'll use Anderson Powerpoles. They are "genderless", and can only be plugged in one way. I used these with all of the power connections for my ham radio gear. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzLvdR6X81k

Paul Coats Powerpoles could also be used for N-Trak modules. You can stack more together, in various colors, for special purposes. For example, my solar panels (for ham radio portable use) have green & black Powerpoles. You can make a 3 or 4 conductor plug, too.

Paul Coats How can the Anderson Powerpoles be "genderless", no male, no female? How can you not plug them in backwards? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34kKlRQPOL8
