A two rail car converted to three rail decades ago by my grandfather. I've put some improvements into it including an LCL container load, styled to look like a load a modeler could have made in the 1950s when the car was fairly new.
THe load started as a scrap of 2x3 lumber. Thin basswood was used to make doors and panels. I could have made latches and hinges and detailed the doors more, but I wanted to replicate the style of loads I see in old photographs. Notches were sawed into the wood to replicate the slight space between containers
