John Warren's Album: Wood trestle bent jig

Photo 2 of 4 in Wood trestle bent jig

Top sill pivot clamp locked in. Side Pivot clamps wedge the timbers in place for glue up. Balsa block for inner tembers, balsa is soft and holds great for shim wedges.
Angle lines at far left is 2in 12 for straight track and 3in 12 for curved trestles. 3in 12 only on the outside timber of the curve

Graham Stokes So the balsa blocks are loose & just push into place to keep vertical trestle posts in place snugly for straight alignment & cutting, right? Nifty.

John Warren Yes andThank you for your kind words....Also have a another jig for getting timber angle correct, note top left timber not angled.

Graham Stokes Right. I'd also adapt your idea for CP trestles that use 5 (not 4) vertical posts in the bents. But the idea still would work of course.
