The Finished Product
Here you see the spring installed in the turnout. You throw the points with the tip of your finger, and they snap into position.

The key to success here is correct placement of the holes. Using tape or scrap styrene, lock the points midway between the stock rails. Drill holes on the exact center line between the rails. If you look carefully at the ties, you can see where I marked this line.

Note that the "V" points toward the main track; on every turnout I have applied these springs, this is the better way. Later I will paint the spring-it is left unpainted for photo purposes.
